First Holy Communion

Children must have made their First Reconciliation before they can make their First Holy Communion.

Children must currently be in, or have completed the 2nd grade, and be active in the St. James Faith Formation program for 2 full years (Including the year of preparation) prior to enrolling in the sacrament preparation program.

Special preparation sessions will be held separate from their usual Faith Formation classes throughout the year for those who are receiving the sacraments outside of the traditional time of reception (2nd grade).

Middle and High School students in need of the sacraments will have a separate class outside of their EDGE and Life Teen classes on Wednesday nights.

A copy of the candidate’s Baptism certificate must be presented at the time of sacrament registration.
